Claire, it happened when I wasn't at home, so when my boyfriend called and said that the ferret died, I couldn't believe it. Even when I saw it's body I resisted to believe that it actually dead. It took me several hours to believe it and then we buried it in a forest. I was crying all night long and in the morning couldn't open my eyes because they hurt so much... so, it was a real tragedy to me.

Yea, they are a bit smelly but there are ways to make them not be smelly at all...

I always wanted one of those, Victoria. My neighbours here had two of them and they kept their cages in their bedroom - ugh! They ARe a bit smelly, not nasty, just animally. They were so pretty and very tame, though - lovely little things.

good morning everybody... I have a dog named Alba and a cat named Shatik... They hate each other so badly that when I leave the house I put them in seperet rooms. But I love them both... I used to have a ferret, it's a wonderful pet and very friendly. But he died last year. It was a tragic for me cause I loved it with all my heart.

hi mandy, I know how u feel when people here i have a staff they dernt come near her but ive brought her up nice and sweet so shes so soft she doesnt even eat the chihuahua lol. Dont no why people think dogs like staffs rotties and other butch types are mean and aggresive when there not!!! i have a 5 year old who my staff always follows and licks her to death and she plays with her nicely.

Afternoon, all! I live in a small complex which is mostly holiday homes, but there are a number of feral cats who live here too. Recently one of the females managed to get a fishing hook embedded in her cheek (we live next to a river where there's sometimes some good fishing). Anyway, I got her into a basket and took her off to the vet, where the first thing she did was shred my fingers as I took her out of the basket. The vet immobilised her with a muscle relaxant and removed the hook very carefully before allowing me to bring her back home. she's fit a well now, I'm glad to say but like the rest of you I do hate to see them cruelly treated. A funnier story was when I found a small ginger female (not many of them about) sitting in a big puddle of water looking totally bemused - she'd fallen into the swimming pool and had managed to get herself out but I don't think she knew which bit to wash first!

it beats me penny, if i were allowed to treat these people how they treated my dog's i would be arrested straight away, or any animal for that matter, this is funny though, my cat got hold of a pigeon in my garden so i scared her off, i know she was just doing what cats do , but i felt sad for the pigeon and could not let it die in front of me, so i called the animal warden, and sat there singing to it till they came, no i am not a nutter!!! lol it really did keep it calm, every time i stopped singing it fretted. any way before i start to sound like a complete wierdo i'll leave it there lol
